Khara Matcham, from Sorority House Queens, will discuss various ways to raise queens using the grafting method. First she’ll cover the challenges faced in grafting and ways to circumvent them, such as setting up a breeder queen. Next she will discuss various ways to create and maintain cell builders needed to raise healthy, viable queen cells. Also covered will be the care and use of queen cells as an alternative to buying mated queens. Finally we will practice transferring larva so that all participants get experience in grafting.
